THE MAHJONG TABLE

A few things you might be wondering.

Small answers, so you can get back to playing.

Is this multiplayer American Mahjong?

No. This is a solo pair-removal puzzle using American-style tiles. It does not implement a multiplayer hand card, Charleston, or calling rules.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

The browser game is free to play and does not require an account or a download.

Are there 152 or 166 tiles?

Each current game layout uses 152 active tiles. The 166-piece artwork catalog also includes extras and spares.

Can different Flowers match?

Yes. All Flowers share one matching group. A Joker only matches another Joker; it is not a wildcard.

Why can’t I select a tile?

It may be covered by a higher tile, blocked on both its left and right sides, or the game may not be active.

Will a shuffle always solve the board?

No. Shuffle rearranges remaining faces and can still leave no legal pairs. There is no guarantee that every sequence of moves can clear a board.

Where is my progress saved?

The game stores progress in this browser on this device using local storage. Clearing site data removes it. Saves do not sync between devices.

Does Tablekins use analytics?

The site does not include analytics or advertising trackers. The game displays local move, hint, and shuffle counters; these are gameplay information, not visitor analytics.
