THE MAHJONG TABLE

Your first pair starts here.

A simple goal: clear every tile from the board.

  1. Choose a layout and start.

Open the game, choose a board from the layout menu, and use Start game. The current layouts each contain 152 tiles: 76 pairs to remove.

  2. Look for open tiles.

A tile must be uncovered: no tile on a higher layer can overlap it. It must also have an open left or right edge. An open top or bottom edge alone does not make a tile available.

  3. Match two different tiles.

Match numbered tiles by both suit and rank, Winds by direction, and Dragons by color. Any Flower can pair with any other Flower. Jokers pair only with Jokers; they do not substitute for other tiles.

  4. Make room for your next move.

Clearing a pair may reveal covered tiles or free a side. Look at what a pair unlocks before selecting it. You win when all tiles are removed.

A hand when you need one

During an active game, Hint highlights a legal pair. Undo restores a previous move or shuffle. Shuffle rearranges the remaining tile faces without moving the slots; it does not guarantee a solvable board.

If no legal pair remains, the round is stuck. Use the recovery controls available in the game or start a new round. A shuffle is not a promise that every board can be cleared.
